Can this change be lifted?

Loosing traditions, we move on
Culture slowly fading, soon gone
Children have forgotten the tribe’s way
Listening to promises made, they stray

Some see no way out
They choose suicide without a doubt
We must regain what has been lost
Trying hard, we failed at many costs

The cultre disappeared as time went on
The “war” was not won
Without the culture in out heart
Things simply fell apart

The Ummayad Mosque was built in the early 700s. It’s located in Damascus, Syria a charming city, but the mosque has a beauty all its own.

I felt so peaceful whenever I was inside this mosque. It has a “maqam” for Prophet Yahya right in the musalla part of the mosque. People gather around making du^a’, making dhikr, and reading Quran.

The mosque also has a courtyard in the middle where all the kids and birds seem to go. The birds dive and fly with the kids chasing them, the sun hits the tiles and marble just right all over, causing a scene that can make your heart smile.

When the hardships increased on the Muslims in Mekkah, his Majesty Prophet Muhammad sent some of his Companions to the land of Abyssinia, located in Eastern Africa. The Muslims, among them Ruqayyah, one of the daughters of the Prophet, and her husband, ^Uthman were welcomed and honored when they arrived in Abyssinia.

The Christian king of Abyssinia, called AnNajashiyy, treated the Muslims well. He did not stop them from practicing Islam. When the blasphemers in Mekkah heard this news, they sent gifts to the king, asking him to give them the Muslims.

AnNajashiyy called the Muslims. Ja^far Ibn Abi Talib spoke to the King about Islam. He told him about our Trustworthy Prophet Muhammad’s teachings about Prophet Jesus. He told the King that Prophet Jesus was the slave of Allah and his Messenger.

Ja^far also recited Quran. This caused AnNajashiyy to cry.

AnNajashiyy embraced Islam. He protected the Muslims and did not allow the blasphemers to hurt them.

Years later, AnNajashiyy died. On the day of his death, our honest Prophet said: Today our brother AnNajshiyy died. He is a righteous man.

His Majesty Prophet Muhammad lead the Muslims in funeral prayer for this great king, AnNajashiyy.

Talha sustained more then thirty wounds and severly injured his hand. However he did not die on that day. When the Battle of Uhud was mentioned Abu Bakr, one of the most loyal friends of the Prophet, would say it was Talha’s day. The Trustworthy Prophet himself said, If one wanted to see a martyr walking on the ground, then one should look at Talha.
